Our Vision
Congregations are struggling to thrive amid racial tensions and political division. Pastors are perplexed and exasperated as they’ve tried to lead their congregations through the last decade. Passivity and resistance to discussing racial harmony and justice from a faith-centric perspective are insufficient. Solutions hailed by secular organizations can be unyielding and incongruent with essential principles in the Scriptures.
The Tension is real
Discipleship is always happening. We are, by creative design, influenced by our context and relationships. Whether it’s social media or curated news stations, we are being conditioned, or better yet, discipled, toward division and polarization. We have the opportunity, though, to decide how and by whom we will be discipled. Individuals, churches, and pastors need scripturally rooted, gospel-fueled, contextually relevant, culturally expansive, and hope-aimed discipleship tools to move toward flourishing unity. That’s what Catalyst for Harmony was created for.
A way forward
Jesus called his followers to live in harmony together (Rom 12:16) and there is a profound emphasis on unity throughout the New Testament. We believe that God enables and empowers us to live in authentic oneness, even in these divisive times. However, it does take discipleship and learning how to get there. We are deeply committed to the Scriptures as the source of God’s divine wisdom to lead us toward oneness, unity, and harmony.
Living in harmony
We offer a variety of small groups, workshops, cohorts, and experiential discipleship opportunities that individuals and churches can participate in. We cover subjects such as communal formation, cultural agility, racial harmony, and experiential historical learning. Please subscribe to our newsletter to hear about future events. We welcome you to contact us if you’d like to have a conversation about our team coming alongside you or your church to help.
