THE SCRIPTURES
We believe that every word in the original writings is inspired by God and is without error. The Word of God reveals God’s nature and will for all of humanity and is the foundation of our faith and practice. Our ministry is consequently rooted in the principles of wisdom and promises of hope in the Scripture.
John 17:17, 2 Timothy 3:16–17, 2 Peter 1:20–21, Hebrews 4:12, James 3:17-18
HOLY GOD
THREE IN ONE
We believe there is only one living and true God, who exists in three persons — God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; equal in essence, distinct in purpose, and united in relationship. Almighty God, the one who was, who is, and is to come. Jesus is the Word, fully divine, fully human, and the exact representation of God on Earth and will return. The Holy Spirit convinces and convicts us about God and righteousness.
Deut 6:4, Matt 28:19, John 15:26, 16:8, Heb 1:3, Rev. 1:8
SALVATION
Our sinfulness as humanity has broken our relationship with God. We all fall short of his glory and need salvation through believing and trusting in the redeeming sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1-3, Romans 3:23, 6:23, 10:9-10, Eph 2:8-9
IMAGE BEARERS
Every living human being is created in God's image; as such, we are to affirm and uphold the dignity of all as image bearers. We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves and serve, be devoted to, and honor one another above ourselves as fellow members of the Body of Jesus Christ.
Gen 1:26-27, Rom 12:10, Gal 5:13-15
GOSPEL CONGRUENT DISCIPLESHIP
Discipleship is always happening. It is our responsibility and opportunity to choose how and by whom we will be discipled. Our greatest teacher is the love and forgiveness of our great God through our Savior, Jesus Christ, which propels us by the power of the Holy Spirit to follow Him, be like Him, and do like Him. Discipleship requires ridding ourselves of earthly and unspiritual influences and clothing ourselves with the likeness of Jesus.
Mat 10:38, Rom 12:1-2, Col 3:8-14, 1 John 2:6
RACIAL HARMONY
Sinful behavior, individually and collectively, has repeatedly divided and fractured humanity (personally, racially, ethnically, sociologically, and economically). We lament the sour fruit of envy, selfish ambition, and favoritism that has produced every sort of evil practice, including racism. Jesus has broken down every wall of hostility through the cross, making us one, and earnestly leads and pleads with us to live with one another in harmony by holistically loving one another. We must learn to cultivate righteous and just affection, embrace righteous and just thinking, and employ righteous and just actions.
Rom 12:16, Eph 4:2-6, John 17:20-23, Ephesians 4:1-6, James 3:14-16

ABOUT US

OUR BEGINNING
Catalyst for Harmony was launched in 2022 by Pastor Andy Gray. He has a long-enduring and relentless passion for being a catalyst for cultivating harmony in the Body of Christ by breaking down social, economic, and racial barriers that have for so long fractured the church and divided our communities.
Teaming truth, empathy, understanding, and compassion, he strives to build bridges and partnerships between people and churches. He began pastoring in 1997 and planted at The Urban Refuge Church in South Minneapolis from 2003 and served there through 2021.
OUR FAITH AND VALUES
At Catalyst for Harmony, our mission is deeply rooted in our faith and the enduring values that guide our actions and intentions. We believe in fostering environments where understanding, respect, and unity transcend cultural and racial boundaries.
Catalyst for Harmony works with churches, ministries, organizations, and individuals from various cultures and denominations. While there is a diversity of convictions and beliefs on non-essential theology and practices with those we work with, we hold to these beliefs and values as foundational in our ministry within the Body of Christ.
